Moʻi Kawaakoa
Moʻi is a lineal and generational descendant who has embraced her kuleana to uplift and protect the houseless descendants of her moku. Her leadership is guided by ancestral responsibility, dignity, and a commitment to restore connection.
What began with focused care along Holomua Road has grown into a Maui-wide movement of outreach, navigation, environmental restoration, food systems work, and public advocacy.
Alongside her ʻohana and a dedicated hui, she connects immediate care with longer pathways: access to documents and benefits, opportunities to build skills and purpose, and the vision of a culturally grounded Puʻuhonua.
